Essay on Social Networking

Essay on Social Networking: Social networking sites are a part of everyday life and have revolutionized communication between people. When we look at the social impact of social networking sites, we find that these sites have both positive and negative effects. Due to this fact, it is necessary to analyze both the advantages and drawbacks of social networking sites.

Undoubtedly, social networking sites are beneficial for the younger generation. With the help of these sites, people can communicate and express themselves by exchanging messages and comments. Social networking sites help establish relationships with people, friends, and relatives. These sites can be accessed from any part of the world. Therefore, a person can interact with any person from any place. For example, a student can clear his doubts with the help of a teacher. People from different professions can form groups such as doctors, lawyers, students, poets, writers, social workers, etc.

Addiction is the most common disadvantage of social networking sites. Often users of these sites become addicted to them. They spend hours using these sites and this hurts their performance in other areas. It causes mental health problems and sometimes it also bothers their body. Sometimes users provide their personal information to others which is unsafe.

We can see that social networking sites are beneficial only when they are used wisely. It would be useful to use these sites if users do not spend time there unnecessarily. Discreet members never give personal information to strangers. The use of a device depends on the users. A doctor can work with a knife and a killer can kill a person with a single knife.
